Importance of ongoing data reporting through Ohio Disease Reporting System (ODRS)

On a call yesterday with LeadingAge Ohio, Department of Aging (ODA) Director Ursel McElroy and Medical Director Dr. John Weigand noted that there have been a significant number of facilities for whom data have not been reported to the Ohio Disease Reporting System (ODRS) on a weekly basis. This reporting is aggregated to show hot spots of COVID-19 outbreaks and is used by the state to advocate for allocation of medications to these hot spots.
